This pair of John Leech prints are just beautiful.
The first shows a man in a pink coat inspecting a stream from horseback with his lady companion. It is entitled 'The View'.
The second is entitled 'Let me try then, said Lucy' and depicts a wonderfully glamorous lady riding side saddle, showing the men behind how its done!
We think both prints appeared in Robert Smith Surtee's Mr Facey Romford's Hounds (London: Bradbury, Evans & Co, 1865).
Their wooden frames are in fair condition and measure 29cm x 23cm.
The prints measure 16cm x 11cm.
